Imprexa UK imprinted asphalt is a decorative paving system that uses specially designed templates to imprint asphalt and proprietary surfacing system to colour and fortify the surface. The result is a decorative paving system that replicates the appearance of brick, slate or stone.
Hard wearing coatings combined with the colour pigments, provides for a realistic brick-like appearance. The coating is fade resistant and helps to rapel harmful UV rays.
Why use IMPREXA imprinted asphalt as an alternative to modular paving?
Imprexa can be installed very quickly with relatively little disruption, so it is usually much less costly and disruptive than alternatives methods.
Imprexa UK uses asphalt as its base. Asphalt is a flexible surface that is more likely to accept shifting due to weather extreme's and can resist cracking commonly associated with other paving systems.
Vehicle braking/accelerating and steering will not shift or break and disturb the system, as often happens with brick pavers etc. Imprexa is very easy to patch, and virtually invisibly, if maintenance is ever required.
Where can it be applied?
Imprexa can be used wherever a normal asphalt system is used. However, please discuss this with one of our design consultants to be sure Imprexa is suitable in your situation.
What about weeds?
Imprexa is a continuous surface and its protective surfacing system does not support organic materials, so the weed growth seen with hand laid products is not a problem.
Will it fade?
The coating is fade resistant and helps to repel harmful UV rays.
As with all decorative paving systems there will be some wear over time. Unlike other decorative paving systems the colour of your project can be rejuvenated or changed as frequently as you would like, at a fraction of the initial installation cost.
